Bosch Group is the global leader in automotive technology and service suppliers. In 1902, Bosch designed and produced the first spark plug worldwide, which is the milestone of automotive industry.

Bosch Automotive Products (Nanjing) Co., Ltd (RBNJ) was founded on 2nd April 1996 as a joint venture between Robert Bosch GmbH and Nanjing Electric Group, the previous name of RBNJ was Nanjing Huade Spark plug co., Ltd (NHSP). In Feb. 2010, Bosch took over all the shares of NHSP and the company became a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bosch group. In March 2011, Bosch has increased the capital again and the company has been renamed to Bosch Automotive Products (Nanjing) Co., Ltd (RBNJ).

RBNJ introduced the modern spark plug production and inspection equipment from the lead plant, the spark plugs can be used in gasoline, natural gas and LPG fuel cars, various motorcycles, and small engines. The production technology and product quality reach the most advanced level in the world. RBNJ was certificated with ISO9001, ISO/TS16949 and ISO1400, and evaluated as A supplier by Shanghai VW, FAW-VW and Jialing. There are about 900 employees in RBNJ now, and the production capacity of spark plugs reaches 60 million spark plugs per year.

RBNJ's new plant locates in the east area of the Nanjing Economic and Technology development zone. The total investment of RBNJ is over 1.1 billion Yuan. The SOP is planned at the end of 2012. The new plant is specialized in the development, production and sales of spark plugs, brake pads and diagnostic equipments. In 2015 the new plant will employ more than 3,000 employees and will achieve a production capacity of 125 million spark plugs every year. This output will make RBNJ to be the largest spark plug manufacturing base. Besides spark plugs, RBNJ will produce 80 million brake pads and 25,000 diagnostic equipments every year then. It will also be home to a new development center for Bosch Automotive Aftermarket brake pads and diagnostic equipments, featuring state-of-the-art test benches and testing equipment.

The new plant will significantly enhance the production capacity of Bosch's Automotive Aftermarket business, and effectively integrate related product lines in China. Increasing car ownership in China will lead to the rare opportunity for the Chinese Automotive Aftermarket to develop, meanwhile, global sales and service channels of Bosch group would benefit RBNJ serving for global market as well. With the continuous improvement concept, RBNJ will seize the strategic opportunity to bundle manufacturing and technical strengths. In addition, RBNJ will continue to provide high-quality automotive components as well as advanced diagnostic equipment and technology to end customers around the world.
