Our Commitment to Society
The Robert Bosch Foundation
Established in 1964, the Robert Bosch Foundation pursues the philanthropic values of the company's founder, Robert Bosch, in a contemporary way. As a part of the company's tradition, the foundation utilizes its dividends exclusively for social and community projects. By the end of 2001, it had donated 540 million euro for social activities.
As one of the largest German industrial foundations, the foundation donated 40 million euro in 2001, available for charitable projects. The foundation runs three medical and research institutions: the Robert Bosch Hospital, the Dr. Margaret Fischer-Bosch Institute for Clinical Pharmacology and the Institute for the History of Medicine in Germany.
The Robert Bosch Foundation is dedicated to pursuing socially responsible and non-profit activities. Its main areas of activity are public health, international understanding, welfare, education and youth work activities.
Our Commitment to The Environment
Proactive Responsibility
We all understand the importance of environmental protection. Starting in 1973, environmental protection became a corporate responsibility for Bosch and, in this respect, environmental-friendly measures apply at all stages of the production.
Our environmental safety standards meet strict European standards and are observed by all Bosch locations around the world. The Bosch Environmental Management System is our way of shouldering this responsibility. Worldwide coordination and monitoring of environmental protection issues base our efforts to contribute to the earth's protection, for future generations. Our Environmental Protection Emblem
Our emblem symbolizes clear water, clean air and a natural environment. The Q shape represents Bosch commitment to Quality. Wherever you see this icon, you know it represents Bosch's dedication to environment preservation and protection.
