When Bosch presented the haircutter 'Forfex' in 1928,it was not foreseeable that this design principle would revolutionize the world of hand tool power tools.The product range includes electric garden tools, measuring tools as well as rotary and demolition hammers and accessories.The business division Power Tools was established by Robert Bosch GmbH in 1955 and its headquarter is located in Leinfelden-Echterdingen close to Stuttgart in Germany.
Out of the modest beginnings in 1928 Bosch has grown to the world's leading power tool manufacturer with a 2006 turnover of 2.8 billion Euros.

market.
1984 GBH 24 V Professional: The world's first cordless hammer: for the first time,Bosch uses battery
technology in the successful 2 kg hammers.
1990 SDS-max: Invention of the SDS-max toolholder.The system has established itself as
worldwide standard for large rotary hammmers.
1996 GWS 6: The new angle grinder defined the highest standards in power and efficientcy.
1997 GBH 7 DE Professional: Launch of the world's first hammer with Turbo Power onto market for even more
material removal.
2001 GBH 5-40 DE Professional:With this new 5 kg hammer,Bosch launches the world's first hammer with Vibration
Control onto the market.
2004 IXO I: With the IXO I 3.6 V Li-lon, the worldwide most successful power tool was launched.
2005 GSK 190 Professional:This durable and small but powerful circular saw was launched for Asia Pacific market.
2006 GBH 36 V-Li Professional:The world's first cordless hammer that is as powerful as a mains-powered tool thanks to lithiumion technology.
2007 GSH 16 Professional:The new demolition hammer has the highest material removal rate in the 16 kg class.Bosch celebrates the 75th anniversary of Bosch Hammers.
2008 DLE 50:This very compact laser-rangefinder is part of the innovative range of measurement tools from Bosch.
