Shanghai, June 15, 2006 - Bosch, the world’s No. 1 automotive supplier, announced the opening of the first eight Bosch Diesel Centers ( BDC) in China (including Beijing , Dalian , Shanghai, Guangzhou, Wuhan, Wuxi, Yangzhou and Jinan) in an effort to build an integrated and strong service unity in the world’s fastest developing automotive aftermarket.
In the past few years, Bosch has enhanced its investments in China. Up to 2005, Bosch had invested around 620 million euros in the establishment and expansion of its Chinese activities. In the past five years alone, the number of Bosch manufacturing facilities there has doubled, from 10 to 20.Between 2006 and 2008, it is planned to further invest a total of some 620 million euros in China. The establishment of the first BDCs reflects Bosch’s confidence for Chinese market in the future and helps to identify itself in the market as the first-class diesel expert.

By 2010, the demand for petroleum is expected to rise 18.5 %, comparing to that in 2000.
