- New Bosch electronic manufacturing plant in Zhuhai with latest technology
- R&D facility to support local market
- Provides employment for 1,500 associates
January 24, 2008, Zhuhai – The Bosch Group invested 58 million US dollars in a new electronic manufacturing plant in Zhuhai, Guangdong Province. The new plant, covering 45,000 square meters, will develop and manufacture electronic security systems with the latest world class technology providing employment for 1,500 associates.
The new Zhuhai facility is the largest manufacturing facility for the business division Security Systems in Bosch. In addition to supplying the Chinese market, the new plant will also support the world market including the Asia Pacific region.
“The new electronic manufacturing facility in Zhuhai enables Bosch to localise increasingly more manufacturing activities for the business division Security Systems in China. Security Systems will provide more competitive products and services through this new facility,” said Dr. Rudolf Colm, member of the Bosch Board of Management responsible for the Asia Pacific region. “The new plant also offers us the opportunity to continue our growth in China and abroad with competitive and innovative technologies which meet the needs of our customers better.”
Bosch is committed to provide full range of hi-tech security products, systems and efficient services to the local customers. The new facility will manufacture Intrusion Alarms, Fire Detection, Video Surveillance, Communication, Conference and Public Address systems as well as Access Control and Management Systems.
Equipped with up-to-date surface mount assembly lines, in-line optical inspection system, electronic in-circuit testers and functional testers, the assembly processes fulfill the requirement of Bosch Production System.
