Bosch Pavilion Spotlights Safe, Clean and Energy Saving Technology
The Bosch pavilion consists of three stations each expressing one of Bosch's 3-S Principle 'Clean, Safe and Economical' .
In the first station Bosch exhibits the latest technologies using renewable resources such as solar, wind and tide energy contributing to resource saving and environmental protection. For example, Bosch Thermotechnology has about 30 years history producing solar collectors. Nowadays more than 500,000 Bosch solar collectors are used worldwide creating clean energy that reduce 190 thousand tons of CO2 emissions and save about 490 MW.h of electricity every year.
In the second station Bosch features state-of-the-art road safety technology including the Electronic Stability Program ESP ® which has been increasingly recognized to prevent accidents. According to international accident studies at least 40 percent of all fatal car accidents are caused by skidding. Around 80 percent of all skidding accidents could be prevented with ESP®. In this station, Bosch also introduces leading integrated building security solutions which are already installed in several major national projects in China.
In the third station, Bosch exhibits energy saving and environment friendly technology for the automotive industry such as Gasoline Direct Injection systems, Start/Stop systems and Common Rails Diesel systems. The Start/Stop systems switch off the engine, gasoline or diesel alike, when the vehicle is stopping at the traffic light or in a traffic jam. Start/Stop starts the engine again as soon as the driver touches the gas pedal. Start/Stop technology can effectively reduce fuel consumption and CO2 emissions by as much as 8 percent, particularly in urban traffic.
In each of the three stations, interactive displays provide a learning experience on how Bosch modern technology can be applied.
